Bank or Bust

Bank or Bust is a high-stakes Wild West roleplaying game based on the popular casino game Blackjack. Explore the dusty plains of the USA as outlaws with everything to gain, and nothing to lose. Rob banks, trains, whatever you want, but just remember: The house always wins.

The core gameplay of Bank or Bust is super simple: Spend chips to pass checks of varying difficulty given by your Dealer (AKA your GM). The only way to earn chips back, however, is to gamble in a game of Blackjack. The catch: Lose all your chips, and you can't buy back in - your cowboy is dead.

Bank or Bust is intended for tense one-shot games, where heists turn into deadly shootouts, run-ins with the law, and chases on horseback. Create an outlaw, choose your position in the crew, and get shootin'.

A Blackjack set is encouraged, but not required. If players wish to, they can keep track of their stats via the classic pencil-and-paper, instead of having physical chips. However, you still need at least one pack of playing cards.
